Sky+ also introduced the pausing of live TV, so when you are unexpectedly disturbed, you can simply pause the channel you are watching, and press play when you are ready to continue. Handy for when people knock at your door!

Sky+ was a major step forward for the home entertainment industry, but then came along Sky HD, incorporating all the benefits and recording facility of Sky+, but in glorious high definition, providing much more detailed, crisper and colourful images. The Sky HD satellite receiver is also produced in stylish black, making it a modern home accessory.
